Make Christ at Home 1
Text: Ephesians 3:1-21
We have been speaking about the issue of dwelling in the presence of God all year long. Today, we want to start a three series message on the topic Make Christ at home. The home here is not the building we construct. The home here is our heart. Making Christ feel at home in our heart. It is important to make it clear that it is the host that grants their guests the comfortability or otherwise for the guest to feel at home or not. Christ stands by the door and knocks Rev. 3:20, it will depend on the landlord’s choice to decide on welcome or refuse. Let us consider Prayer as a tool to make Christ feel at home in our heart.
1. Christ at home in your heart, you need prayer (Eph. 3:14-16a). Paul the Apostle wrote this epistle in house arrest. He did prayed for the church extensively, but when it was time for him to request for prayer, he asked for grace to preach (Eph. 6:19-22). If Paul needed prayer for boldness, I bet you need much more of it.
a. Prayer should aim to bring God’s purpose and promises into reality. Paul started 3rd chapter with a conjunction, which means he had a reference to what he was discussing prior to this time. Read Eph. 2:19-22…
